Hooray For Earth and Cymbals Eat Guitars
HFE – Black TreesCymbals Eat Guitars
Its no secret that we at MYB love Hooray For Earth. We have seen them perform countless times over the past few years in a number of arrangements but on their current tour with Cymbals Eat Guitars we were able to catch them for the first time as a three-piece. Playing the wide-ranging songs from their “True Loves” LP seems like a daunting task in any form and becomes increasingly impressive as they play track after track without missing a note, blip or any kind of unique noise crafted by songwriter Noel Heroux. While frequent vocal collaborators Zambri are unavailable for most dates, drummer Joseph Ciampini and bassist Chris Principe take over the backing vocal duties while maintaining the pummeling rhythms of each song with joyful concentration. Check out “Black Trees” from their stop at The Space in Hamden, CT on September 22nd as well as a look at their LOUD and amazing tourmates Cymbals Eat Guitars. Check out the tourdates in the trailer that follows and if you go, please buy some merch and maybe a beer for HFE tour manager Mike D.
