If the story of your life contains a giant gaping wound where seeing Bodega Girls would otherwise be, think Fugazi meeting Marvin Gaye at the Squire on Amateur Night. MYB has been to countless shows by these hedonistic dance-rock misfits and we featured their filthy cousins Bodega Sluts who play covers of your older brother’s favorite punk classics. This video has been in-the-works pretty much since we started MYB and we are delighted to bring a new song that is not only aurally epic (that’s what she said) but also a visual stunner. This performance took place the night before Thanksgiving during their monthly evening dubbed “Cool Ranch” at Middlesex Lounge, the crowd was already amped from a killer set by DJ LeahV and the band was at the top of their filthy game. It is particularly nice to see the Bodega Girls backed by a live drummer who is new to the group, Steven Lord brings the kind of energy that fits perfectly within this already notorious party machine.
